South Central Premier League, including clubs from Oklahoma and Texas, becomes newest addition to US Club Soccer's National Premier Leagues
CHARLESTON, S.C. (May 13, 2013) – US Club Soccer has announced the creation of the South Central Premier League, the 19th league in the organization’s National Premier Leagues (NPL).
The South Central Premier League joins the Northeast Girls NPL as the newest additions to the NPL platform, with seven clubs from Oklahoma and Texas set to compete in the U-13 through U-17 boys and girls age groups, beginning in Fall 2013:
“The NPL is thrilled to be adding another top-quality league to our competitive landscape,” NPL General Manager Chris Baer said. “The creation of the South Central Premier League once again shows the strength of the NPL platform in helping clubs develop top players and teams in meaningful league competition.”
Teams will play a combination of division and cross-division games, with the top teams moving into a playoff to crown the league champion. The winners of the South Central Premier League will qualify for next year’s NPL Champions Cup, where they will take on top competition from the across the country in a “champions league” competition. The 2013 NPL Champions Cup will be held July 18-22 in Aurora, Colo.
“Everyone involved is very excited about the South Central Premier League and the upcoming competition,” Eclipse SC Director of Coaching Luis Labastida said. “The clubs, players and fans are looking forward to playing in the National Premier Leagues, and we are all excited about opening more doors for our players in every respect.”
Players in the South Central Premier League will also enjoy multiple avenues to be scouted for inclusion in U.S. Soccer’s national team program, via US Club Soccer’s id2 Program and Player Development Programs (PDPs), which are regionally based identification and development programs centered around NPLs.
“Blitz United is extremely excited to take part in the NPL,” Blitz United SC Director of Coaching Robbie Mitchell said. “We believe this opportunity will give our players more exposure to quality competition, and US Club Soccer has done a great job of aligning clubs with similar aspirations together.”

Blitz United leads all Oklahoma Soccer Association clubs in winning 3 out of the 4 Oklahoma PLW Championships. Congratulations to the Blitz 95 Boys, Blitz 96 Boys, and Blitz 99 White Girls for finishing atop their respective age divisions in the Region III Premier League West. In doing so, the 96 Boys and 99 Girls are eligible to apply for the US Youth Soccer National League in 2013/14, and all 3 have qualified for the the 2013 US Youth Soccer Region III (South) Championships to be held in the Summer of 2013. US Youth Soccer is proud to announce that Edmond, Okla., and Oklahoma Soccer Association will host the 2013 US Youth Soccer Region III (South) Championships as part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series.

BUSC Tactical, Functional, and Goalkeeper Training These programs are offered to each individual player or team at no additional costs to all Blitz players and families. Teams or individuals should contact the specific coach to set up training. Coaches are encouraged to attend any and all team training. Thanks and Best of Luck this season. There are openings for boys and girls to start training with the BUSC Youth Academy. The Academy focuses on player development over winning games. Players come out of the Academy with a confidence which applies directly to their competitive experience. BUSC Youth Academy is designed to encourage and provide technical development for each player, while presenting an opportunity to learn and respect the game. There are no tryouts for these age groups. BUSC Youth Academy has multiple teams in each groups. BUSC Youth Academy teams participate in appropriate outdoor and indoor leagues and tournaments throughout the fall and spring. Click here for more information.
