Teams are STRONGLY encouraged to follow the friendship theme by exchanging Patches, Pins, etc., from their League or Club after each game. (Each player from both teams should exchange gifts)

Teams from Northern California & outside the State of California will receive automatic acceptance into the tournament upon completion of their application and receipt of their registration fee.

Early acceptance for those teams outside of CYSA-South will be granted to those requesting consideration.

Rich Bailey Girls Friendship Soccer Tournament is a Class I CYSA-South sanctioned Tournament

Open to teams from Canada,Mexico; Open to all US Youth Soccer State Associations; Super Y League, US Club Soccer, AYSO Teams.

Entry fee: U8-10 $375 ~ U11-15 $425

Tournament Dates: The tournament will be held on January 26 & 27, 2013.The tournament spans two days with pool play Saturday and Sunday concluding with championship games on late Sunday.

Late Registration: Teams applying after January 4th will be accessed an additional $25.00 and will be placed on a waiting list. It is at the sole discretion of the tournament committee to offer any late team a placement in the tournament after the deadline. If that does not occur, a full refund will be given.

  1. Refunds will be made to all teams not accepted.

  2. Teams must drop in writing or email prior to January 18, 2013. Requests for (DROPS) withdrawals from the tournament will only be accepted from Administrators (Contact Person or Coach) listed on the teams application for the tournament.

  3. Refunds provided to teams that drop prior to the deadline, will be assessed a $50.00 administrative fee.

    Teams that drop after the January 4th deadline will forfeit their entire application fee.


  4. A cancellation fee of approximately one-third of the entry fee will be withheld from each team's refund for incurred tournament expenses if the tournament is cancelled as a result of weather or acts of God after January 26th. If the tournament is cancelled once it begins, determinations of any refunds will be determined by the Board of Directors of the Anaheim Soccer Association.

    In the event of excessive rain, the make-up dates for this tournament are one week later, February 2 - 3, 2013.

  5. Teams must be affiliated with FIFA and/or USSF and be affiliated with their State, Provincial or National Association. Players and coaches must have laminated cards.

    Teams from outside the USA without player-laminated passes must provide passports and/or local government picture identification cards. Laminated player cards with photo and the player's signature (for States or Countries that require signatures, photos and/or laminated cards for identification) and medical release forms or proof of medical coverage will be required at registration, as well as travel papers for teams not affiliated with CYSA-South are required.


  6. U10 teams that are registered in the 2012-2013 season must play U10.

Loaned Players: Loaned players will be allowed (UNLIMITED) with a maximum roster of 18 players for U11-U15.
For U8-U10, loaned players allowed (UNLIMITED) with a maximum roster of 14.

Games: Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three (3) games. Length of games will be 50 minutes for U8-U15 teams.

All Championship games will be Regulation times per age Group.

Bracketing: It is the intent of the tournament to bracket in flights of 6, 8 or 12 teams. Variations may occur based on total teams entered or subsequent team drops.

Awards: Each participant will receive a tournament souvenir. Champion and Finalist medals will be presented to both teams participating in the final match.

Rich Bailey Girls Friendship Team Award will be presented to the championship coach.

One team in each bracket/flight will also receive, SPORTSMANSHIP MEDALS . The referee in each game will vote for the sportsmanship award, based on 1 point each, for players, coaches, and sidelines. Each team will get to vote for one team within their flight based on the same criteria.
