LJCSA Coaches Handbook ___________________________________________________________________ The rules below are a guide for Laurel Jones County Soccer. U-5 U-6 U-8 are non competitive. Before a game begins the coaches can agree on terms to make the game run more smoothly. Lets say instead of playing a U-5 or U-6 game 4 quarters it would be better to play (6) 5 minuite quarters with 2 minuite breaks between quarters with a 7 minuite halftime. If you have 2 U-8 teams getting ready to play a game and one team only has 4 players. The 2 coaches can get together and decide to just play 4 x 4. Also there should be no problem when a child is hurt or crying to sub one player for another during the quarter. At the end of the day we want the kids to enjoy the experience of playing on a team.
