Congratulations to the Force 02 Boys Blue who captured the NorCal State Cup Premier 2 title this past weekend in Manteca. The boys traveled hundreds of miles on course to this victory, and massive credit goes out to all the players and families for the commitment they made to the event. The under-14 boys blue team marched into Danville this past weekend and came away as champions in the Mustang Stampede Premier Bracket. Over 5 games, the boys outscored their opponents 22 goals to 3. Pool play began Friday night with a 6-0 win over Placer and continued through Saturday with a 1-0 victory over MRFC Rebanitos followed by a 6-0 win over home team Mustang Lokomotiv. The 98 boys Blue team had a tremendously successful run at the prestigious Surf Cup title this past weekend in San Diego. Coming off a loss in last year’s Surf Cup semi-finals, the boys had something to prove in 2012. Entering bracket play on Saturday, the 98 boys defeated Texas’ #2 ranked team, FC Dallas, by a score of 4-0 and then went on to tie Washington state’s #2 ranked team, Crossfire Premier, 2-2 in the afternoon game. De Anza Force 02 Boys Blue rounded off a superb Spring season with first place in the Inter Rage Academy Summerfest this past weekend. In soaring temperatures, the boys showed great energy and quality of soccer to prevail in some very tough games. The boys started off strong, with two victories on the Saturday, winning 3-1 and 4-0. The Force is sending 5 teams - U14-U18 - to Chicago to compete in the 2012 ECNL National Finals with 220 of the top womens teams in the nation. Former De Anza Force Academy Goal Keeper Dallas Jaye is currently spending the summer for his mother’s home Country, Guam, playing and starting for the full men’s National team. Jaye, who played for Force Academy last year under Coach Chris Dangerfield and is playing in college at the University of South Florida where he just completed his first year in the Big East Conference earning a 3.8 gpa.
