California Cup - August 7-8, 2010
California Spring Cup Guarantees every applicant entry upon completion of application to include the Tournament FEE. Teams from Northern California & outside the State of California will receive automatic acceptance into the tournament upon completion of their application and receipt of their registration fee. The California Cup is a Class I tournament sanctioned by CYSA-South. Open to all US Youth Soccer State Associations; Super Y League, US Club Soccer, AYSO Teams. Mandatory Team Check In: Saturday August 7, 2010 on the Field 60 minutes prior to each teams 1st game. U8, 9 & 10 Age Groups play 8 v 8 U11-19 Age Groups play 11 V 11 Age Groups - Boys and Girls
Tournament Dates: The tournament will be held on August 7-8 , 2010. The tournament spans two days with pool play Saturday and Sunday concluding with championship games Sunday afternoon. Make-up Dates: NO MAKE UP DATES FOR 2010 TOURNAMENT Late Registration: Teams applying after July 25, 2010 will be accessed an additional $50.00 and will be placed on a waiting list. Acceptance of any team that submits an application after the deadline is at the sole discretion of the tournament committee. Any late team that is not accepted will receive a full refund. Loaned Players: Unlimited loaned players will be allowed. Maximum Roster Size: U8, U9, U10 - 14 Players, U11-16 - 18 Players, U17-19 - 22 Players Games: Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three (3) games.
Length of pool play games:
50 minutes for U8 - U14
60 minutes for U15-U19.
All championship games will be regulation times per age group. Bracketing: It is the intent of the tournament to bracket in flights of 6, 8 or 12 teams. Variations may occur based on total teams entered or subsequent team drops. *It is the desire of the Tournament to have (2) Flights at the younger ages to eliminate extremes in the skill levels of teams in the same pool. However, if there are only enough teams for (1) Flight of teams, the possibility exists that a Gold team may play a Bronze team. Awards: Each participant will receive a tournament souvenir. The 2010 California Cup will be presented to the championship coach. Medals: Champion and Finalist medals will be presented to those teams participating in the final match. |
